One of the most important jobs of a DBA
When things go bad with hardware failure, or a ransomware attack, typically the most important thing a DBA can do to save the business is recovering from backups.
Too often I have received a call from a new customer asking for help. They were hit with ransomware and all their backups are destroyed. Sometimes it is a drive failure and their databases and backups were all on the say array.
One of the reasons that I created this course was to help teach the importance of planning for those scenarios before they happen instead of after they happen.
I really don't like to have to tell people that there is no recovery option, and that their backups were not sufficient for the crisis.
This course is designed to make it so that you don't every have to be in the position to tell your management that everything is lost and we can't restore.
